What the press says:

Mellow out in the Distillery district, where some of the city's finest folk, country and roots performers will serenade you in the sunshine, all for free (or perhaps some spare change)...  City Roots makes getting through the weekend a tiny bit easier   ... eye weekly

City Roots is as remarkable for the diversity of its performers as the novelty of its Distillery District setting....  Toronto Life

.. a program that both convincingly addresses the multicultural nature of this city and its many quirky appetites, and embraces its idiosyncratic musical past, present and likely future.... Toronto Star

Tunes on tap at the Distillery District. City Roots isn’t your father’s folk festival. It’s a three day event showcasing a variety of musical styles.   Best of all you don’t have to drive for hours to get there…  Globe and Mail

A festival that will surprise those who write off folkish fests as old and stodgy...Now Magazine

.Thanks to our 2008 sponsors and community partners
